We are proud to provide each of our staff a positive environment and the opportunity to achieve their goals. Sales Team Jim came to Southstream in October of 2001 with over 19 years in the seafood
industry. His in-depth knowledge in groundfish and snow crab give Jim a
distinct advantage over the competition. A native New Englander, Jim
graduated from Bryant College in 1983 with a BS in Business Administration. Email: jimc@southstream.com George, the most recent addition to our sales team, comes to Southstream
with an extensive background in fresh as well as frozen seafood. In addition
to seafood, George's experience in the hospitality industry has earned his
customers' respect and admiration. George graduated from Becker College in
Worcester Massachusetts in 1990. Email: georger@southstream.com Carmine Intrieri Carmine joined Southstream
Seafoods in 1995. Having completed his degree in Marketing at the
University of Rhode Island College of Business in 1994, Carmine found his
calling selling and marketing seafood. Patricia LaPointe A native Rhode Islander, Patricia
graduated from University of Rhode Island in 1977 with a BS in Physical
Education. After stints as the manager of a health club, and an advertising
sales representative, Patricia joined the Southstream team in 1995. David Lerner David, also a native Rhode Islander, has
been with Southstream since 1992. He graduated from Bentley College with
a BA in Marketing. Dave worked in the hi-tech industry until finding his
true calling selling seafood. Olafur Gislason Olafur co-founded Southstream in
1989 and has been instrumental in the growth of sales since that time.
Olafur was born in Reykjavik, Iceland. He graduated from Brown University
in 1974 and has over 30-years experience in seafood and food-related business.
Tom joined Southstream in October 2000 and has over 20-years experience in
the food industry. Having spent the last 10 years in sales and purchasing
for a broadline foodservice distributor, Tom lends a unique perspective to
the duties of Sales Management. Tom graduated from UCLA in 1988 with a
degree in Fine Arts. Email: tw@southstream.com Christopher Pokorski Christopher graduated from the University
of Vermont in 1989 with a degree in Economics. He came to Southstream
within a year of graduation, just as we were turning one. Chriss
responsibilities include sales, sales management, purchasing and forecasting
future sales for the company. Mark Soderstrom Mark has over 15-years experience
selling seafood and is well-known in the industry nationally. His career
in the seafood industry started during college packing fish on the Chatham
Pier. He is a graduate of Northeastern University where he received his
BS in Economics.
